All pupils must attend school if they are fit and well to do so in order to receive a full and enriching education. We push our pupils to attend 100% of the time. Parents and carers must be supportive of this.

The school day starts at 8.30am when pupils are welcomed into school.
On Monday-Thursday Years 7, 8, 9 and 10 finish at 3.15pm with Year 11 finishing at 4.00pm. On Fridays all year groups finish at 3.15pm.
This means that our school week amounts to 33.75 hours for Years 7 through to 10 and 36.75 hours for Year 11

Key points regarding the school day
- Pupils must arrive at the school before 8:30am, ready and equipped to learn.
- Pupils are considered late if they are not in school before the gates are locked at 8:30am.
- Pupils arriving late will be issued a same day lunchtime detention.
- We have a zero-tolerance policy on mobile phones.
- Mobile phones cannot be used until pupils have left the school gates.
- Years 7, 8 and 9 will have their lunch during sitting 1 and Year 10 and 11 will have their lunch during sitting 2.
- Year 11 complete Period 6 lessons, and enrichments are available for other year groups.
- A list of enrichments will be published at the start of each term.
- Period 6 is Monday – Thursday only for Year 11.
- Pupils Line up at the start of the day, after break and after lunch transition at these points is in silence but other transitions between lessons is to be sensible and safe.
- Any detentions incurred will be on the same day. Detention is 30 mins and depending when assigned, may be at lunchtime in enrichment time, or after school. After school detentions take place 3.15-3.45pm. Any missed detentions will incur a 1 hour after school detention, or further sanctions. Parents will be informed of detentions by text.
