Pupils will investigate the historical, social, cultural, environmental and economic influences on Design and Technology, whilst enjoying opportunities to put their learning into practice by producing prototypes, models and two-dimensional development studies.
Pupils will also gain a real understanding of what it means to be a designer, experiencing all elements of the design process using a range of materials including paper, card, wood, metal and plastic. Pupils will develop an awareness of aesthetics and ergonomics and the relationship between form and function.
